The Global Chefs Challenge
features top chefs from across
the globe. These chefs must
compete to show their skills
in the kitchen and their
adaptability under fire.
Their culinary creations must
follow guidelines such as being
appetizing and tasteful, while
also showing off exemplary
plating for ease of service.
The Global Pastry Chef Challenge
features the crème de la crème in
pastry competition.
Competitors work to prove they
can meet the standards of the
world’s most modern patisseries,
while showing an appeal to the
five senses along with knowledge,
extraordinary technique and of
course, versatility.
The Global Vegan Chefs Challenge features innovative chefs who will showcase vegan culinary skills. Their plates must exclude animal proteins, while also creatively and tastily combining key vegan ingredients.
The Global Young Chefs Challenge
features the emerging talent of
chefs who are 25 years of age or younger. The top Young
Chef competitor is awarded the
Hans Bueschkens Trophy.
Its namesake, former Worldchefs
president Chef Hans J. Bueschkens,
advocated for the inclusion of
programs designed to promote
and groom young people for a
career in the kitchen.
