Worldchefs offers specialized Competition Seminars in 6 focus areas:

COST OF THE LICENSE

The total cost for the license and instructor fee is 1400€. The organizer is also responsible for additional travel and accommodation expenses for Seminar instructors.

The organizer shall charge no more than 300€ per participant for each seminar.

Steps to Hosting a Competition Seminar

Step 1
Apply to the online application below.

Step 2
Once Worldchefs selects an instructor available for your seminar you will receive a confirmation email together with the invoice.

Step 3
Send payment of 1400€ to the Worldchefs Office.

Step 4
Once payment is received you will be provided with necessary rules and related documents.

Step 5
Send an official invitation to the instructor provided by Worldchefs to hold the seminar of your choice.*

Step 6
Prepare the seminar according to the rules and checklist received from Worldchefs.**

Step 7
Prepare the list of seminar participants and send it to Worldchefs by email 2 weeks prior to the seminar.

Step 8
You will receive the certificates for participants 1 week prior to the seminar.

Step 9
Organize the seminar on your chosen date, following the Organizer Checklist.

Step 10
Send us the feedback from your organized seminar together with pictures and any additional material you wish to share.

*The Organizer is responsible for covering all the costs associated with travel, accommodation, meals etc.

**You will receive a toolkit that complies with Worldchefs Branding Guidelines to help you organise the seminar.

MEET THE CULINARY COMPETITION COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN

Rick Stephen is a 3rd generation chef raised in Tasmania. The first Australian to be awarded Certified Master Chef, he started his career in 1972 under world-renowned chef and culinary competitor Claudio Magris.

Rick’s own 82 gold medals in various competitions on the international arena include achievements like: Australian Chef of the Year, Chef of Chefs (3 times over), Gold Medalist winner at Food Asia Singapore, the Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, Luxembourg World Cup Fine Foods in Sydney & Melbourne, Sapporo in Japan and Detroit, Team Captain of Australia from 1990 to1995, and Team Manager/Coach of Australian Team 2002 from 2008.

He’s also literally written the book on The Art of Judging. A coach and mentor, Rick has trained many National Culinary Teams for international competitions, including the Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and China.

1. HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS CAN ATTEND A SEMINAR AT ONCE?

For the Introduction to Competition Standards Seminar, one license is valid for a maximum of 50 persons per one instructor. For the remaining 5 Seminars, one license is valid of a maximum of 25 persons per one instructor. If you have more than 25 participants contact us.

2. CAN ORGANIZERS DEMAND A SEMINAR FEE FROM PARTICIPANTS?

The organizer can collect a fee from each participant. This fee must not to exceed 300€ per participant and must be communicated to the Worldchefs Office for approval.

 

3. WHAT ARE THE OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORGANIZER?

The organizer is responsible for arranging a meeting room with a video projector.

The organizer is responsible for registering participants and communicate the names to Worldchefs Office 10 days prior to the event.

The organizer is responsible for printing out certificates provided by Worldchefs Office.

4. WHAT DOES WORLDCHEFS PROVIDE?

Worldchefs provides a list of approved instructors from around the world that organizers can choose from. Worldchefs will announce the seminar on its website www.worldchefs.org and e-newsletter. Worldchefs will provide individual certificates to participants in a PDF format.
