L’Assiette Gourm’Hand returns to Bailleul for its 2026 international final!
Created in 2003 by Chef Benoît Flahault, the competition brings culinary professionals with mental disabilities or mental health conditions into a professional competition setting where their skills, creativity and expertise take centre stage.
Following the national selection stages, the international final will welcome teams from France and abroad on 10 October 2026. Each team is composed of a candidate working in catering within a protected work environment or professional integration programme, together with the chef who supports them throughout the year.
During the final, teams will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to create a dish from a basket of mandatory ingredients. Alongside technique, presentation and taste, the competition encourages candidates to express their culinary identity through regional products and to share their work with chefs, mentors and organisations from different countries.
International participation has been part of L’Assiette Gourm’Hand since 2010, with teams from countries including Belgium, Morocco, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Italy joining previous editions. More than a competition, the event creates a space for professional recognition, international exchange and greater inclusion across the culinary industry.
