frequently asked questions

Who can nominate someone for the Worldchefs President's Medal?

For the latest information on eligibility and the nomination process, please contact us through our contact form.

The medal may be presented at any official Worldchefs event and is not limited to a Worldchefs Congress.

No. Receiving the Worldchefs President’s Medal does not grant voting rights or any governance privileges within Worldchefs.

what are the benefits of getting endorsed?

Worldchefs offers endorsement to all different levels of culinary competitions worldwide.

Worldchefs endorsed competitions help to guarantee that competitors receive proper recognition worldwide, having competed at the highest standards.

Competition organizers must submit an application for approval to the Worldchefs Culinary Committee.

We recommend contacting us at least 2–3 months in advance. This allows time to configure the app based on your competition’s size and structure.

The size of the competition is not a factor in receiving Worldchefs endorsement; it is the quality, structure and passion which counts the most.

Typically, the review process takes 2 to 4 weeks. Apply early to allow time for revisions if needed.

Can a non-chef receive the Worldchefs Escoffier Medal?

Yes. The award is open to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the culinary arts or hospitality industry, regardless of whether they are professional chefs.

Nominations should be submitted to the Worldchefs Managing Director at least six months before a Worldchefs Congress, or before the final Board meeting preceding the Congress.

Recipients receive a specially designed Worldchefs Escoffier Medal, an official certificate, and an invitation to attend the Worldchefs Congress where the award is presented.
