Welcome to the pinnacle of culinary excellence, where the world’s finest chefs come together not only to compete, but to celebrate the artistry, innovation and passion that define our global culinary community. Worldchefs has taken culinary competition to the next level, bringing the Best of the Best from around the globe together to compete on the world stage. The Global Chef Pastry Challenge – Pacific Rim Final will determine who progresses from the Pacific Rim region to compete at the Worldchefs Global Final in Shanghai in March 2027, where the winners will be crowned Global Champions in their respective disciplines.

Date: The Global Championships – Pastry Challenge – Pacific Rim Final 2026 will be held in Melbourne, Australia, 1 September 2026.

Competition schedule: 1 September, 14:00–17:00: Global Chef Pastry Challenge – Pacific Rim Final
Competition details: The Global Chef Pastry Challenge – Pacific Rim Final will determine who progresses from the Pacific Rim region to compete at the Worldchefs Global Final in Shanghai in March 2027.
Global Final format: The Global Pastry Chef Final will feature eight teams:
- Seven teams selected through the Worldchefs regional semi-finals
- One team representing the host country
Each team will consist of:
- One Chef
- One Commis Chef, who must be under 25 years of age as of 1 January in the year of the Final
Regional semi-finals, including the Pacific Rim Final, are conducted for individual competitors.
Competition requirements: At the Global Final, each team will be required to complete:
- One centrepiece
- One gateaux weighing 800–900g
- One up-market dessert for six persons
Teams will have three hours on the evening prior to the competition for permitted preparation, including workstation setup, tempering chocolate and weighing ingredients.

Standard Worldchefs competition rules will apply.
Competitors and jury members are responsible for familiarising themselves with the current Worldchefs Culinary Competition Rules and Guidelines.

Each competing country may nominate one Worldchefs-approved judge, being:
- “A” International Judge;
- “B” Continental Judge; or
- Worldchefs-approved Pastry Judge.
All costs associated with the nominated judge are the responsibility of the participating country.
All nominated judges must submit a current judging CV.
Official dress – Competitors & Jury:
- Chef jacket displaying the appropriate national logo
- Black trousers
- Professional chef shoes
- White apron
