The Future of Sustainability
On this episode, we invite you to watch a 30-minute discussion with our host Chris Koetke and our guest Viktoria Roos. Tune in to learn how the shifts in technology shape the future of the food industry and how the foodservice can potentially change in the near future.
Viktoria believes that chefs can initiate real change in their kitchens themselves – and will share her sustainable ideas on the topic. Also, even with the smallest steps, sustainable kitchens can make a real difference for the future of whole culinary community.
According to Viktoria, the future of sustainability in the foodservice looks bright. During the next years, emerging startups will introduce ever more new solutions to improve on the sustainability of kitchens. I.e., 3D printed foods, smart bins that analyze your waste and give you advice on reducing it, and plant-based alternatives. Most important, chefs already can implement many of these solutions. Though expensive to obtain, these inovations are a great investment in the foodservice future (and costsavers in the long-run)!
