The Vietnam Culinary Challenge (VNCC) has been held since 2006, initially organized under the Saigon Professional Chef’s Guild (SPC). In 2022, the VNCC’s organizational structure was modified at the request of Informa to comply with local tax regulations. Since then, it has been managed by a dedicated organizing team of three. The event operates under the patronage of the “UNESCO Center for Vietnamese Gastronomy Culture,” an independent government body.
The VNCC has grown into the most anticipated culinary competition in Vietnam, attracting increasing interest from both local and international participants. The 10th Vietnam Culinary Challenge in 2024 saw a remarkable 20% increase in participation, with:

17 universities, schools, and colleges
The Vietnam Culinary Challenge is organized on a non-profit basis to support and encourage the Vietnamese hospitality industry particularly chefs—in their professional development and creativity. Its core aim remains steadfast: to elevate and showcase the rising culinary standards in Vietnam, while fostering the exchange of experiences, the development of skills, and the building of meaningful connections within the local, regional, and global culinary community.
The VNCC organizing committee warmly welcomes all food and beverage professionals, associations, and enthusiasts from Vietnam and across Asia to take part in this dynamic culinary event. It is a unique opportunity to share insights, expertise, and passion as we come together to celebrate the best of culinary innovation. In addition to strong local interest, we have already received inquiries from Taiwan, Malaysia, and Australia for participation in VNCC 2026.
