The Young Chefs Grand Prix is a new signature competition debuting at Food & Hospitality Asia (FHA) 2026, from 21 – 24 April 2026, in Singapore. This innovative culinary challenge is specifically designed to spotlight emerging culinary talent aged 25 and below. Open to participants from both Singapore and overseas, the competition assesses not only culinary skill but also creativity and adaptability under authentic food service operation conditions.
The competition features a multi-segment format that challenges participants in distinct ways. The first segment involves an ingredient sourcing relay race where teams navigate the exhibition halls to gather supplies from participating exhibiting booths. In a separate segment, competitors face individual challenges designed to test their technical proficiency and creative problem-solving abilities. This comprehensive structure ensures a thorough evaluation of each participant’s capabilities while creating an engaging experience for competitors and spectators alike. Organised by Food & Hospitality Asia, in partnership with the Singapore Chefs Association (SCA) and the Singapore Junior Chefs Club (SJCC), the competition is endorsed by World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs). This endorsement ensures the competition meets international standards of excellence in culinary competitions and provides participants with a globally recognised platform to showcase their talents and advance their careers in the culinary arts.
