Paris, France · 8 January 2019 · In Memoriam of Gerrit Greveling

It is with great sorrow and deep defeat, we inform our members that on December 11th, 2019 the President of the Gastronomical Guild Board and inspired colleague, Gerrit Greveling passed away at age 60.

Gerrit was a dedicated chef and made many journeys that inspired his cooking style. His long track record in the hospitality industry did not go unnoticed. In 1986 he was the youngest SVH Master Chef of that time and in 1998 he was awarded a Michelin star. With great dedication, Gerrit has worked for the Gastronomical Guild Board. He played a particularly active role in the repositioning of the association. Gerrit was very involved in the decision-making of various developments, constantly thinking from the point of view of the guild’s members, partners and relations.

He will be remembered as someone who was incredibly passionate about his culinary projects and always took the time to think along about certain issues within the association. His engaging personality and positive enthusiasm will be missed.

Our thoughts and compassion go out to his wife Corry, children and close relatives. We wish them a lot of strength in this difficult time.
