KULINARY PUCHAR POLSKI / The Polish Culinary Cup
The Polish Culinary Cup is considered the most important and prestigious culinary competition for professionals in Poland. It is organized by Poznan International Fair together with Wielkopolska Chamber of Gastronomy. Since it is the most significant competition in the industry a few prestigious associations from Poland and Europe are the patrons of this event like: National Association of Chefs and Confectioners (OSSKIC), Chefs’ Club Foundation and the Association of Eurotoques (the Executive Board also approved this contest). OSSKiC /the national association, which is member of WACS/ has been the patron of the competition since its inception, for 12 years.
In semi-finals of Polish Culinary Cup there are several chefs competing against each other. They are the winners of fourteen prestigious culinary competitions held in Poland over the whole past year. List of nominees are strictly verified and consulted with all umbrella associations. On the semi-finals day the jury selects out of this group the best double teams that are to fight the next day for the Polish Culinary Cup, the title of the best Polish cook.
The whole competition is always supervised by an independent, international jury. The chairmen is always a Polish Master Chef and is a member of one of the associations. In addition, the jury is composed of the world renowned chefs, representatives of the above-mentioned association, the organizer and the main sponsor of the competition (Unilever Food Solutions).
