The American Culinary Classic is set to return as part of the 2027 American Culinary Federation (ACF) National Convention, welcoming both local and international culinary professionals to put their skills to the test.
The competition will feature a four-person team Grand Buffet, individual cold category competitions, and a live Centerpiece Showcase, offering competitors several ways to demonstrate their technical skill, creativity, and craftsmanship.
Competition Categories
Individual competitors will be able to enter a range of categories covering cold culinary displays, appetizers, pastry and confectionery, and decorative showpieces. The live Centerpiece Showcase will include disciplines such as fruit and vegetable carving, cake decorating, decorative centerpieces, and sugar work.
The Grand Buffet will bring these elements together in a four-person team format.
Registration and Awards
Competition fees are $250 per team, $100 for individual professional competitors, and $50 for individual student competitors.
Awards will be presented during the Presidential Gala at the 2027 ACF National Convention. Competitors can also access special convention registration rates, including $199 for gala-only registration or $650 for full convention registration including the gala.
The American Culinary Classic is open to international competitors and offers chefs and culinary professionals an opportunity to compete alongside peers while taking part in the wider ACF National Convention.
